Dry needling is a technique used by our physiotherapists to stimulate certain points in the body to assist in reducing pain or muscle tissue abnormality.
It has been shown to be beneficial in many myofascial conditions, both in the acute and chronic state. It works by complex nerve pathways that are stimulated when a painful site is targeted with a needle.
There are minimal side effects and risks, and most clients tolerate dry needling exceptionally well. Most often, dry needling is used in combination with other forms of manual therapy.
